Unit Catalogue

This unit provides students with the core knowledge required to successfully study human anatomy and physiology at university. The unit begins by investigating the chemical, cellular and tissue levels of structural organisation of the human body in relation to the organ systems covered. Students will then learn the terminology, structure and function of the skeletal, muscular, cardiovascular, respiratory, reproductive and endocrine systems and how they work together to maintain homeostasis. Students are also introduced to the study skills required to successfully learn anatomy and physiology.
