Unit Description

This unit provides students with a theoretical understanding of using creative therapies including art, play, dance, drama and music with diverse groups of people in a variety of settings including: Aboriginal, multicultural, disabilities, aged care and refugees. Students will gain insight into group dynamics and learn how to engage and work therapeutically in respectful and inclusive ways. The combination of Aboriginal and Western practice will provide students with an understanding of different communication styles within the cross-cultural context.
