| In this unit students will identify and apply theoretical and practice-based sensitivities to intercultural communication and second language teaching contexts. The objectives of this unit are to stimulate thinking about how factors interacting with language and society are involved in intercultural communication, and how these factors relate to specific contexts. Moreover, this unit seeks to enhance students' application of appropriate intercultural communication decisions and the manner in which these connect with education, including second language teaching and learning environments across regional, rural and remote communities. Students will explore the development, implementation, use and management of communicative devices, materials and resources that can be embedded within intercultural communication contexts to support learning and teaching.
