General Description

This qualification reflects the role of hairdressers who use a range of well-developed sales, consultation and technical skills and knowledge to provide a broad range of hairdressing services to clients. They use discretion and judgement to provide client services and take responsibility for the outcomes of their own work.

Apprenticeships
This program is available to apprentices thoughtout the NT, including Alice Springs, however all training is conducted at the Palmerston Campus and apprentices from all other locations will be required to travel to Darwin/Palmerston to attend training.

International Students
This qualification is available to international students at Palmerston campus (CRICOS Course No. 094763A).

Accreditation
This is a current, nationally accredited qualification from the SHB Hairdressing and Beauty Services Training Package.

International Students

All VET International applicants are required to meet the English language proficiency for their chosen course of study. These entry requirements will normally be met by undertaking previous education in an English speaking country or obtaining a minimum International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score.

Where applicable, international applicants must also satisfy the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) English language requirements for student visa applications.
